Over the past decade, most of the couples who got engaged on The Bachelor split up a short time later. But women like Whitney Bischoff, Lauren Bushnell and Nikki Ferrell have since moved on to better relationships.
Out of the last 10 Bachelors, only Sean Lowe is still married to the woman he proposed to on the show. Of course, his successor, Jason Mesnick, famously dumped his chosen winner, Melissa Rycroft, for his runner-up, Molly Malaney, during "After The Final Rose." They are also still together and welcomed a daughter in 2013.
But the Bachelor couples from Seasons 14-21 are all no longer engaged. The most recent duo, Nick Viall and Vanessa Grimaldi, split up just a few months after the finale. That came a few months after Season 20 stars Ben Higgins and Lauren Bushnell also called it quits.
So why do so many Bachelor relationships fail? For starters, the whole process is rushed. The couples get engaged after only knowing each other for a few months. Once they start getting to know each other in the real world, they often realize they aren't as compatible as they thought.
It's not always clear if the Bachelors want to find love or if they are just interested in fame. The women, on the other hand, seem to be more commitment-oriented.
But fortunately for Whitney, Lauren, and Nikki, they're all doing extremely well. Here's the latest:
1. Whitney Bischoff
Whitney then started dating sales manager Ricky Angel in 2015. They got engaged last summer and got married over the weekend. Whitney wore a satin Audrey Grant Bridal gown at the Cape Cod ceremony. Guests included Kaitlyn Bristowe, Shawn Booth, Evan Bass and Carly Waddell.
"As soon as I met Ricky, I knew," Whitney told People. "I was in a very raw emotional state after my breakup. And I could be myself with him. I didn’t feel like I needed to put on a facade. I felt back to normal. It was a very refreshing feeling."
2. Lauren Bushnell
Even when Lauren and Ben Higgins starred in their own post-Bachelor reality show, it was clear they had major relationship problems. They tried hard to make things work but ultimately called it quits in May.
And it didn't take long for Lauren to move on. She became Instagram official with her new man, Devin Antin, in August. They initially met on Tinder before her Bachelor stint and primarily spent time together as friends. They then reconnected when she moved back to Los Angeles after her split from Ben.
Lauren is already thinking about a future with Devin, as well. But after her Bachelor experience, Lauren knows she doesn't want to rush things this time.
"I do see a future with him but I want to be 1,000 percent sure before I get engaged and even more sure before I get married," she told her fans in an Instagram Q &A earlier this month. "And for me, that takes time. I've learned a lot of things in the last couple years and this is a big one. Marriage is such a special and sacred thing that should never be rushed."
3. Nikki Ferrell
Nikki and Juan Pablo Galavis didn't get engaged on the Season 18 finale. He wouldn't even tell her that he loved her. But he did say he wanted to continue their relationship outside the show. Their romance was tumultuous from the start, and not even a stint on Couples Therapy could save it.
But Nikki and Juan Pablo have both gone on to find love away from the show. Juan Pablo married model Osmariel Villalobo in August, while Nikki just celebrated her one-year wedding anniversary with her husband, Tyler VanLoo. Like Lauren and Devin, Nikki and Tyler were friends for years before things turned romantic after her Bachelor stint.
