Cuoco and Sweeting were together for only three months when they got engaged, and they wed just a few months after that. So when they split up less than two years later, many wondered if the stars had gotten married too fast.
But while Cuoco appeared to rush things with Sweeting, her relationship with Cook is different. For starters, they have a lot in common, especially their love of horses.
"We met at a horse show. I finally found my horse guy. I know. It was meant to be," she said on The Talk in September. "He's an amazing, amazing rider. Rider and jumper. Amazing equestrian and great human. We share obviously our passion for horses and dogs and all that. And it's been lovely. So great."
In fact, Cuoco thinks their love of animals is what makes them such a solid couple. "When you share something so special, some sort of connection – for us, it’s horses, but anything two people share – you have that common goal and you know that you want the same things in life, day to day, and in the future," she told People. "It just sets you on a better path. Having a lot in common is really important and we definitely have a lot in common. I think that that’s what makes us so strong and really happy."
Cuoco and Cook are a great match in other ways, as well. Cook has learned to appreciate his fiancée's sense of humor.
"I like to torture him and he doesn’t get mad at me. He just lets me do it! I’m just constantly trying to rib him," she told Us Weekly. "He’s got such a great sense of humor. I like it when I’m bugging him, bugging him and then I finally get that laugh which just kills me."
And while Cuoco and Cook have not been together that long, they have spent as much time together as possible. "She is always traveling with him, " a source told E! News in December. "It's not as much her schedule but more so his. She never knows when she's going to be in town because she goes whenever and wherever he goes."
Cuoco and Cook have gotten close to each other's loved ones, too. Cuoco has brought Cook to the Big Bang Theory set, where he bonded with her BFF, Johnny Galecki. She also recently traveled to Australia with Cook's family.
