Kim announced the launch of her cosmetics company KKW Beauty earlier this month. "After 10 years of getting my makeup done every single day, I've really put that knowledge into action and production," she told Forbes.
And on Wednesday, she put her first item, a line of contour kits, on the market. Just a few hours later, she confirmed that all four shades had sold out. Women's Wear Daily reported that Kim had 300,000 kits available for the launch. They were each sold for $48, meaning Kim made $14.4 million in one day.

Of course, even before Kim started her beauty line, she had developed a massive fortune. Thanks to her E! contract, app, and mobile game, she has a net worth of around $150 million. According to Forbes, she earned $45.5 million pre-tax between June 2016 and June 2017, making her the 47th-highest paid star in the world over that time.
And Kim Kardashian isn't the only star who has made tons of money from other business ventures. Here are five celebs who launched massively successful companies.
1. George Clooney
George Clooney is living the dream life. He has a gorgeous wife and adorable newborn twins. And on Wednesday, he announced that he had sold his tequila company to Diageo. The company agreed to pay $700 million for Casamigos upfront, and another $300 million depending on how well the tequila sells over the next 10 years. Forbes estimates that Clooney could get $233 million pre-tax from the sale.
"If you asked us four years ago if we had a billion dollar company, I don't think we would have said yes," Clooney told CNBC. "This reflects Diageo's belief in our company and our belief in Diageo. But we're not going anywhere. We'll still be very much a part of Casamigos. Starting with a shot tonight. Maybe two."
2. Jessica Alba
Jessica Alba's Honest Company has been plagued by lawsuits claiming its products aren't as safe and environmentally friendly as it says. It also recently postponed IPO plans and replaced its CEO. Still, the business was valued at over $1 billion back in 2015!
3. Jay Z
Like Kim Kardashian, Jay Z's net worth continued to soar in 2017. Forbes concluded that he is worth $810 million, making him the second-richest hip hop artist in the world. Much of that money comes from his Roc Nation agency. Roc Nation recently signed a new contract with Live Nation and launched a new vertical focused on startups. The company also represents about 30 athletes, which brings in $19.2 million in commissions.
4. Jessica Simpson
5. Gwen Stefani
When she's not making music or judging The Voice, Gwen Stefani has continued to rake in the dough from her L.A.M.B clothing line. At one point, it earned around $90 million per year. She later launched two other lines, Harajuku Lovers and Design With Purpose.
