Kourtney Kardashian is facing backlash for her latest Instagram post. She is once again being criticized for wearing fur, though she hasn't clarified whether the fur is real..
On Friday, Kourtney posted a meme of herself holding champagne and posing in a fur coat. The picture included the caption, "me after a mental breakdown." She later tweeted the post, as well.
Fans soon flooded her social media with responses. Some laughed at the photo and wished Kourtney well. But some thought she shouldn't joke about mental illness.
@kourtneykardash Don't joke about that, you would dread going thru a real one

@kourtneykardash Hahaha, making fun of mental illness is hysterical!

@kourtneykardash Sorry but that doesn't look like a mental breakdown. Looks like white privlage getting ready to go clubbing. Little respect please.

Courtney_herbivore added, "You wear animals fur after a mental breakdown? How do you think the animal felt. I'm sure you've seen the videos of what happens to these animals on fur farms. How can you ignore that but can't ignore gluten?"

This is not the first time Kourtney Kardashian has come under fire for wearing fur. She actually posted a similar image on Snapchat earlier this month. That led model Chloe Lattanzi to slam the reality star on Instagram.
"My mood... why the f--k you wearing fur!!!!!????" Chloe wrote. "You have all the influence in the world and promote the torture of animals. You could wear anything you wanted that doesn't require skinning innocent animals alive. This make me so angry. Sorry. #sincewhenismurderfashionforward?"
In fact, the Kardashians have a long history of fighting with animal rights activists. Back in 2012, a PETA member named Christina Cho threw a flour bomb at Kim on a red carpet. That led Khloe to sever her ties with the organization.
"Not only has PETA lied to the public, but they have proved that they support this kind of behavior," Khloe wrote at the time. "I’ve been a vocal supporter of PETA for a long time but I have also been very vocal about anti-bullying, so this was a huge disappointment for me."
Khloe said in that statement that she would continue to not wear fur. But she drew the ire of activists in 2014 when she wore a fake fur coat with "f--k yo fur" spray-painted on the back. She also wore a fur coat alongside Kourtney earlier this month, though it's unclear if it was real or fake.
