So what else will happen on Capaldi’s final season of Doctor Who? Spoilers say that this week’s episode “Smile” will show the Doctor and Bill facing off against some weird Emojibots. “This brand new human settlement is said to hold the secret of human happiness,” the synopsis states. “Something is alive in the walls, and the Emojibots are watching from the shadows, as the Doctor and Bill try to unravel a terrifying mystery.”

And things will only get crazier from there on Doctor Who. Not only is Missy coming back, but John Simm will also be back as the Master! Since Missy is the latest, female version of the Master, it’s unclear how they will both come back though.

But in the end, we will see the Doctor regenerate. Spoilers say that Capaldi’s last episode will be the Christmas Special. And it’s going to be amazing! According to a report, David Bradley will reprise his role as the 1st Doctor.

After Bill leaves the show, the 1st Doctor will help the 12th Doctor on a mission to move Gaillifrey to another dimension. William Hartnel originally played the 1st Doctor, but he died in 1974 and Bradley took over the role for the 2013 TV movie An Adventure in Space and Time.

Ultimately, the Doctor will regenerate though. Capaldi revealed he already filmed his death even though they haven’t filmed the Christmas Special yet.

WHY IS PETER LEAVING 'DOCTOR WHO'? DETAILS ...

Of course, everyone’s wondering who the next Doctor will be. Theories have been swirling for a while that Kris Marshall will take over the role. A new report claims that Marshall has already joined the cast and that the Doctor will regenerate at the end of the season, not in the Christmas Special.

However a BBC spokesperson said they haven’t made any casting decisions yet.
