Did Prince Harry propose to Meghan Markle during their recent vacation? Despite recent engagement reports, Harry isn't ready to walk down the aisle just yet.
The couple recently headed to Africa to celebrate Markle's birthday. Markle even reportedly met some of Harry's friends during the trip. The vacation started in Botswana before the duo crossed into Zambia. From there they were expected to visit the gorgeous Victoria Falls.
"Harry has been planning this holiday for a long time," source told The Sun. “He’s made the trip incredibly romantic. They’ll go on boats across the lake, walk in the bush at dawn and camp under the stars."

And it wasn't long before reports swirled that Harry would propose to Markle in Africa. After all, that is where his brother William got engaged to Kate Middleton. But a witness told E! News that Markle wasn't wearing a ring upon her return to London Tuesday morning.
Prince Harry and Markle have talked about taking the next step in their relationship. But Harry doesn't want to rush things. After his failed relationships in with Cressida Bonas and Chelsy Davy, he wants to make sure everything is perfect this time around. So he is making sure his family gives her the seal of approval.
"He wants her to acclimatize to it all," Majesty’s Ingrid Seward told People. "It’s such a whole different world to move into — there’s so much to get used to. He’s really in love with her, but wants to give it his best crack."
The royal knows how harsh the glare of the spotlight can be. And he wants to make sure Markle is prepared. He also wants to make sure she's ready for the public appearances that are part of marrying into his family.
So Markle and Harry are trying to spend as much time together as possible. Before the African vacation, Markle and her mother hung out with Harry in London. The couple also plans to stay at Birkhall with Prince Charles this weekend.
And while Harry isn't ready to propose just yet, he and Markle have discussed a future engagement and marriage. "It's, of course, very serious and both Harry and Meghan are focused on the future," a source told E! News in July. "Engagement talk isn't just between the two of them, even some of Harry's closest aides are quietly expecting news before the end of the year."
