Rashad Jennings and Emma Slater won Season 24 of Dancing With The Stars! The announcement came after Rashad, Normani Kordei, and David Ross faced off in the 24-hour fusion challenge during Part 2 of the DWTS finals.
The finale began with a look back at David and Lindsay Arnold’s journey to the finals. David has become a second dad to Lindsay. And he has grown all season.
Then it was time to recap Rashad and Emma’s emotional journey. He said he got more applause on DWTS than eight years playing football. The contemporary dance about Rashad’s dad was a real turning point for them. Rashad logged over 362 hours of rehearsal time, which was more than anyone else by over 100 hours.
Next, Heather Morris joined pros Witney Carson, Sharna Burgess, Brittany Cherry, Britt Stewart, and Haley Erbert for a super sexy routine. Hailee Steinfeld then performed “Starving” while Alan Bersten and Brittany danced.
Normani and Val Chmerkovskiy then went over their journey. Normani was very reserved at first, but Val pulled her out of her shell. Their contemporary dance also meant a lot to Normani. Then a bunch of the guys from Dancing With The Stars performed a super hot dance together.
They producers asked some past champions to weigh in on the current finalists. Bindi Irwin said that David was courageous. Emmitt Smith thought Rashad could win. And Donny Osmond thought Normani was a beautiful dancer.
The whole Season 24 cast then did a cute group dance together. It was a lot of fun. We saw Heather Morris, Mr. T, Simone Biles, Nick Viall and more. They were all dressed in blue. Then the final three couples came out in gold. After a recap of Monday night's DWTS finals, Bonner Bolton and Sharna performed a super sexy country-themed dance with a bunch of the troupe members.
Nancy Kerrigan and Artem Chigvintsev then performed their favorite dance: Their Vegas Night samba. It was so much fun! Next there was a video package about Nick's man crush on Maks Chmerkovskiy, which was pretty funny.
Nick and Peta Murgatroyd then reprised their Most Memorable Year Night rumba on Dancing With The Stars. It ended with audience members tossing roses onto the stage, which Nick hated.
David and Lindsay then performed their favorite dance: Their Magic Mike-themed Vegas Night jazz dance. It was just as incredible the second time. David seemed so into it.
Then Rashad and Emma performed their favorite dance: Their cha cha from the season premiere. It was absolutely amazing. They just seemed like they were having a lot of fun.
Heather and Maks then danced while TLC performed “Waterfalls,” which ruled. It was awesome to see TLC, and Heather and Maks didn’t miss a step.
Hailee Steinfeld then came back and performed her song “Most Girls.” It was super-empowering.
One Republic performed their song “No Vacancies” while Sharna Burgess and Gleb Savchenko danced, which was a lot of fun. Normani and Val then performed their salsa from Boy Bands vs. Girl Groups Night. It was so hot! Bruno Tonioli and Len Goodman even joined them! The two male judges were so into it.
Lady Antebellum next performed their song “You Look Good” while some of the troupe members danced. Then Mr. T starred in a funny video package. He rapped about the power of dance and how much fun he had on DWTS.
Nicole Scherzinger and Colt Prattes then previewed the upcoming Dirty Dancing reboot, which was fun. Julianne Hough gave them a 10.
Next, the judges and cast went over the finalists’ strengths and weaknesses. Rashad has amazing timing and a great connection with Emma. David is the weakest dancer, but he has an amazing work ethic and is entertaining. And Normani is the total package.
Then it was time for the 24-hour fusion challenge. David and Lindsay did a foxtrot and salsa fusion. David knew he was the ultimate underdog. But because of Lindsay, he has learned to let go and become a better person.
David and Lindsay’s fusion was so much fun. They just seemed to have a good time, and it was really entertaining. Len said it was a “proper” fusion. Watching David gave him joy. Julianne said that David has never disappointed and looks like a little kid having fun when he dances. Bruno said David is already the people’s champion. Finally, Carrie Ann Inaba said he makes her happy. They got a 36.
Normani and Val then did an Argentine tango and foxtrot fusion. They traveled and practiced all over the world this season. And they got pretty emotional at the end.
Normani and Val’s fusion dance was so sexy. And they nailed the trick they worked on during rehearsals. Julianne said it looked like they practiced that dance for two months. And Normani’s transformation was stunning. Bruno said Normani was a “magnificent creature.” Carrie Ann said Normani was born to win the competition. And Len said Normani has clean and precise movement, but she still has flair. She’s very consistent. They got a perfect 40!
Rashad and Emma then did a cha cha and tango fusion. Emma was grateful that Rashad let her create and “go there.” She didn’t know if she’d get this kind of partnership again, but she was grateful it happened.
Rashad and Emma’s fusion was amazing. It was bright and fun. Bruno loved how much Rashad changed between dances. He was a rising star that kept getting brighter. Carrie Ann loved that they had two dances in one and called Rashad a “pro’s dream.” Len said Rashad's progression has been fantastic, but he had some notes on the dance. And Julianne said it was a great way to finish the season. They got a 39.
One Republic then performed their song “I Lived” to honor the final three couples on Dancing With The Stars. Then Tom Bergeron announced that Normani and Val were in third place. Everyone was shocked! Normani said how grateful she was for the experience.
Finally it was time to find out who won the Mirrorball Trophy. It was down to the NFL vs. the MLB. And in the end Rashad and Emma won! They all took a golf cart outside where the cast was waiting for them.

1. Rashad Jennings And Emma Slater’s Freestyle
Rashad and Emma absolutely killed their freestyle during Part 1 of the Dancing With The Stars finals. Rashad wanted to include a marching band and even added his own choreography. It was just a big, fun, show-stopping number. And the judges absolutely loved it. Rashad and Emma got a perfect 40 for their freestyle.
2. David Ross And Lindsay Arnold’s Freestyle
David and Lindsay also had an amazing freestyle during Part 1 of the Dancing With The Stars finals. David knew that he wouldn’t have gotten this far without his fans, so he wanted to dedicate his dance to them. It was a really fun, over-the-top, baseball-themed routine They also got a perfect 40.
3. Normani Kordei and Val Chmerkovskiy’s Contemporary Dance
The pros had to pick a song for their partners during the Week 8 quarterfinals on Dancing With The Stars. Val chose the song “Freedom” for Normani after she opened up about the racist cyberbullying she faced. They then did an incredible, emotional contemporary dance that earned a perfect 40.
4. Simone Biles And Sasha Farber’s Judges’ Challenge Dance
Simone really proved herself during the Week 9 semifinals on Dancing With The Stars. She had received some harsh criticism the week before about not showing her true self. Carrie Ann then challenged Simone and Sasha to show off Simone’s personality during their jive. They killed it and received a perfect 40.
5. Nancy Kerrigan And Artem Chigvintsev’s Disney Night Dance
Nancy and Artem were assigned a song from Enchanted for Week 5’s Disney Night. And they went all out. Their jazz dance was really theatrical and sweet. They perfectly captured the Disney spirit, and you could just tell how much fun Nancy and Artem were having. They got a 36 for the jazz routine.
